Heartsaver® First Aid CPR AED Course

This course is geared towards non-healthcare professionals and those with limited or no medical training that also needs a course completion card to meet employment requirements. This course teaches individuals first aid and how to be prepared in emergency situations along with how to perform CPR with high quality chest compressions and early use of an AED  in a safe and timely manner. This course will cover the following topics:

• Bandaging

• Bleeding
• Wounds
• Choking
• Shock
• Seizure
• Broken bones
• Bites and Stings
• Poisoning

• Adult CPR and AED use
• Adult choking
• Child CPR and AED use (optional)
• Infant CPR (optional)
• Child choking (optional)
• Infant choking (optional)

Course Length -

This course requires approximately 4 1/2 hours of instructor training to complete, including skills practice and skills testing. (Note: The optional Child CPR is an additional 1 1/2 hours and the optional Infant CPR is an additional 1 hour)

***There is a minimum class size of 4 students

Certification -

Physical cards are no longer issued by the American Heart Association. Within 24-48 hrs after successful completion of the Heartsaver® First Aid CPR AED course each student will receive an email from the American heart Association with a link to claim and download their eCard.

This American Heart Association® certification is valid for 2 years
